On January 11, 2024, targeted notifications of interest were dispatched to potential candidates who might be eligible for Ontario’s Express Entry Skilled Trades stream.

Candidates were eligible for a notification if they possessed a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score within the range of 350-424, coupled with work experience in specific National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes.

Eligibility Changes

The OINP has implemented eligibility changes, notably affecting one-year college graduate certificate holders.

Invitations to Apply (ITA) Statistics

As of the latest update, in 2024, 1,451 ITAs were issued for the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream, while the Employer Job Offer: International Student stream recorded zero invitations.

Latest Draw

The latest Ontario PNP draw, conducted on January 09, 2024, issued 1451 ITAs for the Employer Job Offer Foreign Worker Stream, with a CRS score range of 33.

Program Overview

The Ontario PNP program allows applicants to apply for permanent residence in Canada, emphasizing the importance of staying updated on the latest draw information.

Your primary NOC in your Express Entry profile must be related to work experience in one of the following NOCs:

  • NOC 72010: Contractors and supervisors, machining, metal forming, shaping, and erecting trades and related occupations
  • NOC 72011: Contractors and supervisors, electrical trades, and telecommunications occupations
  • NOC 72012: Contractors and supervisors, pipefitting trades

  • NOC 72020: Contractors and supervisors, mechanic trades

  • NOC 72101: Tool and die makers
  • NOC 72102: Sheet metal workers
  • NOC 72103: Boilermakers

  • NOC 72200: Electricians (except industrial and power system)

  • NOC 73200: Residential and commercial installers and servicers
  • NOC 73201: General building maintenance workers and building superintendents
  • NOC 73202: Pest controllers and fumigators
  • NOC 73209: Other repairers and servicers
  • NOC 73400: Heavy equipment operators
  • NOC 73402: Drillers and blasters – surface mining, quarrying, and construction
  • NOC 82031: Contractors and supervisors, landscaping, grounds maintenance, and horticulture services

If you received a notification of interest on January 11, 2024, you are eligible to apply to this stream. To do so:

  1. Review the requirements on the Ontario’s Express Entry Skilled Trades stream page.
  2. Check the document checklist to ensure you have all mandatory documents.
  3. Log in to the OINP e-Filing Portal and follow the steps as a new or returning user.

Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee a notification of interest, and receiving one does not guarantee meeting stream criteria or approval of your application.
