The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) is introducing a new expression of interest (EOI) system starting September 30, 2024. Here’s an overview of the changes:
- Expression of Interest Submission:
- Candidates will submit an EOI to AAIP.
- Upon submission, candidates will be placed in a selection pool.
- Selection Process:
- AAIP will invite candidates from the selection pool to apply.
- Invitations will be based on candidate ranking and the province’s labor market needs and priorities.
- Discontinuation of Monthly Application Dates:
- With the introduction of the new EOI system, AAIP will not follow the remaining monthly application acceptance dates for 2024.
- The new system allows for continuous intake of EOIs, replacing the need for monthly application dates.
This change aims to streamline the application process and better align candidate selection with provincial labor market requirements.
